Iceland Movie Map (www.icelandmoviemap.com) is a free, independent guide to filming locations across Iceland. The site is operated by a private individual and is not affiliated with any film studio, tourism board, or production company.

What data we collect and why
We only collect data that helps us understand how people use the site so we can improve it. We do not run advertising, we do not sell data, and we do not build user profiles.

Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure aggregate visitor behaviour — which locations are most viewed, which countries visitors come from, and how long people spend on the site. This data is anonymous and aggregated; we cannot identify individual users.
We have implemented Google Consent Mode v2. This means:
- If you decline analytics cookies, GA4 does not set cookies or collect personal data. Google may still use cookieless modelling to estimate aggregate trends.
- If you accept analytics cookies, GA4 collects anonymised usage data as described above.
- We do not use GA4 for advertising, remarketing, or personalisation.
- We have configured GA4 with IP anonymisation enabled and data retention set to 14 months.
